Folded paws and side-eye is a powerful combo for a cat. Sitting there all neat and tucked in, looking calm on the outside, while quietly giving that look from the corner of the eye. It’s the kind of pose that makes it seem like the cat is observing everything going on in the room. Very polite posture, very strong opinions. A cat sitting like that always looks like it’s judging the situation.

This is an extreme case of side eye. The cat is just sitting there, barely moving, but the look is doing all the work. That little glance from the corner of the eye somehow says a lot without the cat needing to do anything else. Cats are very good at that kind of look. It’s the type of side eye that makes you pause for a second and wonder what the cat is thinking.

That’s a side eye that says did you just see that. The cat is just sitting there like it witnessed something it wasn’t supposed to. Not moving, not reacting, just giving that look from the corner of the eye like it’s waiting for someone else to confirm what just happened. It’s the kind of look that makes it seem like the cat is thinking, “I’m not getting involved, but I definitely saw that.”
